Uluwatu temple, Bali

Posted 14th June 2017

While in Bali everyone told us we need to see Uluwatu temple and when we had discovered that our hotel was only 30 min away by taxi that is exactly what we did.

The scenery was absolutely breathtaking with waves crashing against the cliffs and the temple just visible on the edge of the beach. We went in the morning although people at the hotel suggested we go in the evening to see the sunset and a traditional dance performance. We were really pleased that we decided not to listen as it was so quiet there and in some places we even felt like we were completely alone and could really take the scenery in.

We were also warned to be very careful of aggressive monkeys, however the two monkeys we met were very peaceful, one was eating a tomato and another was contemplating life while gazing at the temple.

For this trip I wore this pretty and floaty dress from Shein. The belt was given to me at the entrance. I felt beautiful and very free in this dress and off the shoulder style is just so flattering. This dress is still available to buy for only £21.60!
