Today I wanted to show you how I decorated my house for Christmas. I don’t know if I told you before but I absolutely adore Christmas. I love the whole festive atmosphere and the air of excitement. And the fact that everyone becomes a little happier and kinder for a while. I love twinkly lights, mulled wine and mince pies, exchanging presents and silly Christmas movies. Because of this, I prefer to decorate my house a little earlier than most people, usually last week of November.
‘Home Alone’ was my favourite movie growing up and of course, I became heavily influenced by the house decor from that film. That’s why I go for red and a traditional check design when it comes to decorating my own house. You can’t really get any more festive than red.
Christmas decorations make the whole house so cozy and I am planning to spend every evening of December curled up under a fluffy throw on my sofa with a glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate…what could be better! 🙂
