Have you ever heard of the phrase ‘Never say never?’ In the past, I have uttered the words “I will never wear a leopard print” on many numerous occasions and yet here I am…posing in a full-on leopard midi skirt. So I guess I’ve learned my lesson. My opinion about animal print changed literally in a matter of minutes: I was out with my friend shopping and we saw animal prints everywhere. I had mentioned that I don’t really like them. A few minutes later for some unknown reason, I decided to try on a leopard print blouse and that was it. I was a changed woman. I changed into a woman that loves and needs animal print in her life. I’m not sure what happened there. Our style and taste do change with age so maybe it was that. Or maybe it just resonated with my wild and fierce side, whatever the reason I’m happy to go along with it and embrace it.
I have found this skirt in Oasis and couldn’t believe that it was only £28. It made me feel very sexy, plus it has an elasticated waist so you can eat as much as you want (not so sexy). I think the print is enough of a statement so I paired it with a simple white t-shirt and classic nude shoes. I also wore my Vintage Dior earrings that added a bit of an 80’s vibe to the look. You can go even more casual with this skirt by swapping your heals for trainers or flats.
